What is an EV charger?

An EV charger is a device used to supply electric energy to recharge electric vehicles. It is similar to a gas pump for internal combustion engine vehicles, but it provides electricity for EVs.

What types of EV chargers does Greev have?

There are three main types of EV chargers: Level 1 and Level 2 which are both AC type chargers and Level 3 which are DC fast chargers. At Greev we have a variety of chargers to satisfy your requirements.

How long does it take to charge an EV? 

Charging times vary depending on the charger type and the vehicle’s battery capacity. Level 1 chargers are slower and can take several hours, Level 2 chargers are faster and can take a few hours, and Level 3 chargers can provide a significant charge in around 30 minutes.

How do I install an EV charger at home? 

We do that for you. Once the professional electrcian has completed the pre installation assessment, you will receive a quote with the right EV charger for your property.

How do I maintain my EV charger?

Regularly inspect the charger for any physical damage. Keep the charging plug and connector clean. If you notice any issues, we provide an aftercare service.

Can I overcharge my EV? 

Modern EVs are designed with safeguards to prevent overcharging. Once the battery is full, the charger will automatically stop or reduce the charging rate.

Can I use an EV charger in bad weather?

Yes, most EV chargers are designed to withstand various weather conditions. However, it’s always a good idea to take precautions during extreme conditions.

Do I need Wi-Fi for my charger to work? 

As most of our EV chargers are smart enabled, you’ll need to ensure you can connect the unit to your Wi-Fi network. You can test this prior to your charger being installed and once confirmed and installed, you can complete the setup process through your mobile.
